The self-propelled decoy is easy to deploy, inexpensive and simple to move around the training area/battlefield. The decoy sits on a small, tracked electrically powered radio or GPS controlled platform that can be manufactured to incorporate a realistic IR signature and radar cross section so that troops can train using sensors for spotting moving ground targets or spoof the enemy.
