Consequently, against a backdrop of multiple, multifaceted international crises and inter-state conflicts, governments will need to strengthen their capabilities to cope with the expanding nature of the threats they face (high-intensity conflicts, a rise in violence, terrorism, crime, security of major events, vulnerability of strategic infrastructure, cyberattacks, humanitarian disasters and the climate emergency).
Reflecting this change of era, Eurosatory asserts more powerfully than ever its mission of accompaniment and foresight towards businesses, governments, military leaders, homeland security, civilian protection and emergency rescue forces, and international organisations.
The 2024 edition seeks to be the unavoidable technological and international showcase for the sector. “Our visitors and delegations must receive the guarantee that they will find all the world’s solutions, expertise and emerging trends to deal with the challenges of today and tomorrow.”
Mos of the States with a defence and security industry host an annual or biennial Defence and Security exhibition in their country. Three main categories of exhibitions exist today: exhibitions on a regional scale (regional market opportunities) or for large geographical areas (Asia Pacific, Middle East, Latin America, USA, etc.), sector-specific shows, and exhibition spaces bolted onto top-level international conferences.

As a receptacle of major trends, the Eurosatory show has a duty to analyze and transcribe them, and to offer a wide range of solutions to crises which, whatever their nature (from high-intensity warfare to humanitarian and environmental disasters caused by industrial or climatic accidents), often share the same management DNA.
Thus, whatever their nature, crises require anticipation through operational prevention, planning and control centers, the identification of a broad spectrum of identified and available human and material resources, an immediate projection capability, and the means to deal with the situation over the long term until it stabilizes and returns to normal.
