Rafinex' stochastic topology optimization algorithms are a merger of classical topology optimization with the field of Uncertainty Quantification, which is largely used in aerospace and finance to quantify risk. Hence, the novelty includes that the stochastic topology optimizer is a risk-aware design tool which not only maximizes performance, but also maximizes resilience.
