Electronic enclosure cooling system

CALIP GROUP

Hall 6 - E238
France
Our design office develops cooling systems for electronic housings, also known as "Cold Plates." Intended for the defense and aerospace sectors, this device allows for rapid and efficient cooling of electronic housings. The technique used to assemble the plates is FSW (Friction Stir Welding). This solution revolutionizes the field of welding aluminum alloys by offering a unique method. Without adding material, it creates perfect sealing, with high-quality welds and good mechanical strength.

Innovation character

GPT
The innovative character of our cold plates lies in the technique used to assemble them: FSW (Friction Stir Welding)!
Indeed, this technique allows for the welding of materials that are notoriously difficult to assemble, while being environmentally friendly.
As a mechanical assembly solution, FSW represents the future, combining efficiency and ecological responsibility.

Potential for evolution

The cold plate is a cooling system for any type of component that generates heat, such as electronic housings but also battery packs… This product can be used in numerous devices and can be mass-produced in compliance with current environmental standards thanks to the FSW technique.

Energetic transition

Cold plates are made of aluminum, a material that can be recycled indefinitely.
Moreover, this product contributes to the energy transition because it is welded using FSW: a solid-state welding process for aluminum alloys, without adding material.
